Diana González Peña

B.Sc. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Currently she is a PhD student at the Institute of Food Science, Technology and Nutrition-ICTAN, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). She is working on the food and technology field, with a strong interest in the binomial Food-Nutrition and metabolic disorders. Currently, her attention has being focused on the study of food and natural compounds which can act as nutraceuticals, and exert its actions in the prevention and progression of pathologies such as inflammation, dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis (involved in the progress toward heart diseases, among other metabolic disorders). She is also collaborating in different studies: developing platforms for phytochemicals analysis in food, metabolomics, target analysis of biological samples, and participating in R&D and innovation projects for the food industry.
