Shama Naz

B.Sc. in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (Khulna University, Bangladesh), M.Sc. in Bioanalytical Science (University of Science and Technology, Republic of Korea) and PhD in Medicinal Chemistry (San Pablo CEU University, Spain).  

She obtained Korean R&D fellowship for her Master’s program and Marie Curie fellowship for PhD program. Beside her graduation she worked as teaching assistant in East West University of Bangladesh.  She worked for 2 years as a Research Assistant in Korea Institute of Science and Technology. She also worked as a Biology technician funded by CR-UK in The School of Pharmacy, University of London.

Her career interest is based on developing analytical methodologies for targeted and non-targeted analysis of small molecules (eg. Metabolomics) and applying them to understand disease mechanisms & pathologies. Currently as a Post-Doctoral researcher she is working on respiratory disease (eg. Asthma, COPD), applying metabolomics.
